The Problem: The game’s executable build lacked a cohesive branding presence. It lacked showcasing team’s identity and also no icon for the executable build. Additionally, the absence of a splash screen could result in a jarring transition from launching the game to the main menu, potentially impacting the overall user experience and professionalism of the project.
The Solution: To address these issues, I took the initiative to create a splash screen and logo for the game. Using Unity’s built-in Splash Screen tool, I designed a simple splash screen featuring our team’s logo at the center, ensuring it remained visible for 5 seconds to provide players with ample time to identify our brand. Additionally, I repurposed our blog logo into an icon for the game’s executable build, ensuring consistency across our branding efforts. By creating 2D sprites for both logos and importing them into Unity, I integrated them into our game, enhancing our project’s overall branding and professionalism. This solution not only establishes a cohesive visual identity for our game but also improves the user experience by providing a polished and professional introduction to our project.
