Heeello, everyone!
Welcome to the March Devlog! ;) I’ve been making good progress with the game (yay!) and having SO much fun with this chapter. It’s finally time to write some of my favorite scenes in my outline, so I’m more excited than normal, hahaha!
Good news: as I mentioned in my previous devlog, I’ll post the next public part of LtGBtK at the end of April. Chapter 03, the day of the Blooming, is made of six parts: Early/late morning, afternoon, and night. So far you’ve played until "Early Morning," so the next update will bring you everything that happens on Late Morning, including an encounter with Mandra, Esma (a loyal soldier whom your DC saved years ago), and certain Ambassador that has the potential to be a great ally or a terrible enemy.
I can’t wait to share it with you all!
Little victories this month:
My struggles:
- I had a WILD spell of cybersickness (I'm perfectly fine now) and every time I looked at my screen, it got all blurred. I’ve been spending ~14h in front of my pc every day over the past decade XD so I guess I can understand why my body decided to complain about it, hahaha. I visited an eye doctor who was rightfully appalled by that + by the fact I’d been using the same glasses for 7 years. Result: I had to spend 3 days away from the screens to stop myself from feeling dizzy/sick + I have new glasses. Yay!
I wasn’t sure if I should mention this or not, but since that was kind of a wake-up call for me, I thought I might as well write a little paragraph about it. It was a really scary situation, so I’m now trying to take regular breaks so my eyes can rest.
¡¡If you’re also spending a lot of time in front of your screens, please make sure you're taking care of your eyes!! Remember you can schedule your display to change to Night Time light during the day—that’s been helping me a lot. I scheduled mine to change at 6pm.
I know how easy it is to forget to take care of your body, but doing just that is what’s helping me get through a very complicated moment in my life…so I hope you’re all doing the same. As Senshi from Dungeon Meshi says, a good diet, enough sleep, and a few minutes of exercise every day is what make a great adventurer! ;D haha
I hope you’re all keeping hydrated, healthy, and safe out there.
Com amor,
Ligia
