Loadout system and the general game plan

Codfish
A downloadable game for Windows

Hey everyone. Sorry for skipping a log, but I've been really busy with things. I'd like to take a moment to talk about the loadout system I'm currently making as well as general game design stuff. This is the current outline for the multiplayer side of the game.

After completing a multiplayer match, you will obviously gain points. These points can be spent on class upgrades, which boost your weapon stats and unlock attachments for both your primary and secondary. Weapons, perks, and equipment are locked behind a leveling system which increases each time you upgrade a class. You can only upgrade a class 10 times.

So what happens when you're maxed out? One word: Prestige. Once you prestige, you'll have access to camos and their respective challenges and the amount of times you'll be able to upgrade your class will increase as well. (it will be capped, don't worry)

That's all I have for multiplayer progression.

Singleplayer will consist mainly of community-made levels, but there will be two campaigns at release. I'm not going to give much info on them yet because they'll be the last thing that I focus on.

The co-op mode, called Infestation, will also be community-driven and will have three maps at release. This mode works similar to classic Call of Duty Zombies,  and will feature completely unique weapons from the multiplayer side. The plan is to have one tower map, one Nacht-style map, and one map with a full-fledged easter egg.

In addition to all of that, there will also be a modding guide that details how to optimally use the systems implemented in Codfish to your advantage to make your dream map.

But for now, let's focus on multiplayer.

That's all for now. I'll be posting more updates shortly. Have a nice day!
