New movement mechanics?

• There’s no difficulty

I’ve been thinking for a long time about how to make the game harder and more fun, I came up with different ideas, like these spikes constantly going up:

But I couldn’t fit them into the game properly so they went to the list of ideas that failed :p

And just recently I got the idea to make the player constantly move left/right, and the movement buttons only change his direction

This idea is quite interesting and makes the game more challenging, more fun. I know not many people play this game, but still, what do you think about it? :p
