We are officially announcing a remake of The Punniest Pun Messter, renaming it to Jest Messters, WOO HOO!!!

REJOICE, TPPM art-haters!!! Your complaints have been received so I won't be doing the main art for Jest Messters!!! You can finally get a break from my horrendous art, HIP HIP HOORAYYYYY!!! 🎉🎉🎉

ANYWAY, Here are some Q&A about the project!

What changes will be made in Jest Messters compared to The Punniest Pun Messter?

• Firstly, of course we will update all the assets, including sprite art, background art, CGs, GUI, music, sound effects, etc.

• The story will be completely rewritten (so you don't have to suffer from my horrible English and grammatical mistakes lol). Some plot points in the old TPPM will remain the same, but the plot will be completely reformatted with new characters, new scenes and new exciting twists and turns!

• Ever wanted to romance Phoenix in the old build? Well,  our beloved pink-haired womaniser will be one of the LIs! AAAA I can't wait to show you how his route will play out! I would say it would be one of the most exciting routes, even more than Seth's!

• The visual novel will be commercialised, so you would have to pay for it, unfortunately... T_T 

• We plan to have a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds after demo is complete! So we'll have 4 main routes + Lynnette's side story + potentially secret routes for stretch goals...? 😏

• The story would be longer. If TPPM took you 10 hours to play, JM should at least take 25 hours to complete!

How much will Jest Messters cost?

We have not decided on the final price, but don't worry, it shouldn't take more than your lunch money, I promise!!! I will also release a free demo, so you can see if it's your kind of game before purchasing ;)

When will Jest Messters be released?

We have not decided on the release date. The game is still in a very early development stage. April is still working hard to complete all the sprites, and I'm still working on the common route! It would probably take 2-3 years of development time, though! We want to give you a game with the best quality, after all!

What will happen to the current TPPM build?

Due to commercialisation plans, the current TPPM build and trivia books will be archived on 6th May 2024, precisely a month from today. You are free to download the old build and keep it in your local computers, but please do not upload or distribute them anywhere else.
