Hi everyone!
I'm writing a quick devlog to let you know that I've uploaded a new build of Actress! This build fixes a handful of typos which were pointed out to me on the Steam community hub over the last couple of years, so the reading experience should be smoother. I also re-coded some of the longer panning scenes so they should look a little smoother.
In addition to that, I made a shiny new Android build of Actress, so even more people can enjoy it. Yay, how exciting \o/
As always, do let me know if you find any problems, and I'll try to fix them when I can!
I also have a question. A few years ago, I paid to have Actress translated into Russian. I received the files, and implemented them into the game, but a friend of mine who's a native Russian speaker informed me there were various issues with the Russian translation, including various typos, character names being inconsistent, and some tense problems. I was told the Russian translation was 'readable', and it was clearly done by a human rather than a machine, but the experience was rather unpolished. As such, I held off on adding the Russian translation into the VN officially.
I was wondering if people would be interested in me adding the Russian translation into the VN even if it is imperfect. As I did pay for the TL, I would like to add it into the game so more people can experience the story. I'm hesitant to include a translation that a native Russian speaker said contained various issues, however, and I can't justify the expense getting the full visual novel re-translated.
I'd be interested to know if you have any opinions on the matter! Do let me know if you'd be interested in reading Actress in Russian even if the translation is a bit spotty in places.
