Hey y'all!
No regular story content this month, but in terms of QOL-based content, we've got a lot to explore! So let's dive on in to what's changed:
TEXTBOX GUI
The main textbox has been equipped with some new (more immediately noticable) buttons! In addition to the old rollback and skip buttons, which are in the same place they were before, there's now a dedicated "Hide UI" button and an "Auto" button, with an indicator for when Auto Mode is active. These new buttons should be visible and usable a good majority of the time, while not being distracting, instead of hidden until hovered over.
QTE SETTINGS
QTEs themselves are pretty unchanged, but a new option has been added for automatically succeeding any QTE! This can be set with the new "None" option for QTEs in the revamped settings screen (more on that later). The old None option, which relied on Killigan's stats and RNG for whether QTEs succeeded, is now the new "Random" option. It should now be possible to experience the game without this gameplay element getting in the way, for those that would rather have a less immersive experience. Enjoy!
GALLERY HINTS
Folks have been asking about how to get certain CGs for a while now, so a new feature's been added to help out with that! Now when you hover over (or tap) locked CGs, you'll see a tooltip that tells you what day it can be found on, as well as if it's part of a character's romance CGs or not. Happy hunting!
SPRITE EXPORTING (PC/MAC ONLY)
The dressup room got a new toy to play with, the "Export" button! When this button's pressed, the game will take a snapshot of whichever sprite is onscreen at the moment and output it as a transparent .png file. Wattson put a TON of work into coding this, so give it a shot and try it out!
SETTINGS SCREEN
Lastly, the settings screen got a drastic facelift! It now has a cleaner, more organized look, plus there's now some handy lil' Help buttons (?) that give more details for certain settings. A couple notes for preferences that may have changed as well: The old "SFW Mode" is now labelled as "NSFW Images" and is set to On by default, and Discord Integration is now Off by default.
And that about covers it! The last thing to mention is that there's now a new skip point at the start of the beach day (Spiceport Day 7), which should be pretty useful for those that want to see certain scenes with minimal effort...!
As for scheduling: There won't be a public update next month, since we'll be going back to the usual patron build schedule. $1 and up patrons can expect to see a patron build with new story content at the end of April (which will come to the public at the end of May)!
