With version 1.16 of ugBASIC, support for the REU (Ram Expansion Unit) has been introduced: with simple BASIC instructions it is therefore possible to use the REU both as a memory expansion for graphic resources and as an accelerator for memory movements.
The compiler supports all graphics modes available on the VIC-II chipset, as well as all existing features, multitasking and animations. All source program can be compiled directly in "d64" format to be transferred to floppy disk, or in a single REU image with supplied loader: a convenient solution for use with real hardware and emulators.
