#Improve My Game
2024 1rst of April: Improve My Game Jam 32 DevLog After 3 Days
Hello There ! So a little summary of what I did improve in the game:
- Welcome to the Priest (a unit that heals his foe and make strategic send more meaningful)
- Welcome to the Rogue (an Assassin who will target the weakest enemy and use a combo attack)
- Welcome to the Mage (A distance slow Unit that can deal AOE damage)
- The Game has now 8 levels increasingly difficult
- Every UI has been reworked for more consistency
- The possibility to Zoom in and out
- Fixed the problem where Units could go out of the way and miss the enemy camp.
- Add some nice Music and poor Sound for the Units attacks
In the Dev Side what did I do :
- Improved the Level Creation Tool
- Add the possibility for any Unit to have a different pattern / behaviors
- Improvement of the Control Nodes (everything UI Related)
- Some Debug Cheat Key
Edit: I did some Improvement to the In Game Feedback, and some little Balance change (the Hunter has now more range) so I'm adding this too:
- Add feedback on the Level progression (Some Level have a Set Amount of Waves a progress bar would be nice to show that)
- Add feedback on Gain Gold when Slaying Enemy (for the moment it feel weird that the Gold income is not the only source of Gold)
What's to expect in the Next Update:
- Add some feedback on the Buttons (disabled when not enough money to buy unit)
- Add / Clean the sound design for the Attacks / Spells
- Balance Change
What will come in the far future (Next month perhaps)
- Unit Individual Upgrade to buy in Game (while fighting)
- Spell System with Manual Aiming (Spell and Upgrades will use a secondary resource gain on Kill)
Any feedback is welcome from anyone !!
I would LOVE to hear if you found bugs or if you feel that any Unit has no purpose in the Game.
I would also really enjoy any advice about sound management and/or any recommendation for RPG/Fantasy Sound pack Assets.
