Alpha 7 brings improvements to graphics, expands the flight and damage models, brings a new location, and enhances the UI to be more informative and interesting. Main highlights:
- Retro Aesthetic - I designed a shader that adds distance fog, color limiting, and dithering for that old-school look. Models and lighting were also tweaked to aesthetically match.
- Procedural cloud spawning system - each playthrough will have different clouds in different places; in the new iteration I am going to have dynamic weather that piggybacks on this system.
- New Map - This new location will be the foundation of the beta, with NPCs and vehicles planned for the future - Heavy tweaks to flight and damage models to enhance the feel and fun factor. Try a sliding landing or dipping into the water!
- Cruise Mode - Designed for keyboard and mouse players, you can now fly long distances steadily when this is toggled.
