Kept you waiting, huh?
Yep, it's been a whole year since I promised I'd start my newsletter, and here we are! The 0.2 version of Wordlike has arrived, and the updated description does not do the changes justice. Before I get into the spicy details, though, I solemnly swear that I will keep my weekly(?) posts under 500 words (patch notes notwithstanding). I know too well how hard it is to invest yourself in walls of text, and you'll have enough of that in the game proper-- this way, you can pick and choose what you're interested in reading without being obligated to hear my life's story. Also, it's far easier for me to make these if I don't freeze up at the thought of writing a weekly mini-essay. A win-win situation all around, don't you think?
I might write more in the future on what's kept me beyond 'development time', but I'll leave it at that for now.
Without further ado, here are the meaty Patch Notes for v0.2:
I'll be trying to post weekly from here on out with whatever tickles my fancy in relation to the project and related topics, from unique development challenges I've faced (such as the notorious 'F-Word Conundrum'), to interesting tidbits from my studies, and even mini-reviews on similar games that I've drawn inspiration from!
