On the 17th of March, the annual "GameDevWeek" in Trier started, and so did our game as part of that.
As this is a game jam, there were naturally two themes that we could choose from:
-Celestial Symphony
or
-Underground Wonderland
We chose Underground Wonderland because the idea of a mecha-robot-arena-fighter had already formed in our heads.
Then four Artists and three Programmers prepared for the seven days of development hell that was to come.
(I'm joking, it was loads of fun :D)
Everything from the 3D Mechas, Enemies and Arena to the C# code was created within these 7 days.
Even with the many hurdles, by virtue of unity itself, we still learned alot about the engine and the process of building 3D assets and implementing them.
We learned a lot about team work and how the diffrent workflows of programmers and artists should be combined.
