Version 1.1 - Change Log
Following the launch of my playthrough video on Youtube - link in the main game page description - I received quite a bit of feedback on the game. Based on this feedback, I've made the following changes.
Major changes
- The assistant has been removed from the shop upgrades and added as a separate game feature. This was in response to multiple people pointing out what was already clear to me - that the assistant was too essential to success to be one of the shop upgrades. I've added an Assistant section added to Time Tracker and a new rules section has been added detailing how the process of hiring and using an assistant has been adjusted.
Note that in addition to the assistant being separated, I have now made it so that the assistant allows you to perform two of any of the three main actions (Forage, Trade and Run the shop). This is different to before, when the assistant allowed you to Run the shop and either forage of trade (so optionally foraging and trading in one turn with the help of the assistant was not an option).
- A new tables sheet has replaced the Out and about events table sheet. This sheet contains the Local customers, foraging and Out and about events tables. The Out and about events table has been updated with a new column that specifies which actions the events relate to.
- When scoring, each Eagle-eye / haggle point will now lose you 1 CP (previously you would lose 1 CP for each two points used).
Minor changes
- A new shop upgrade has been added to replace the assistant.
- The Trade rules have been updated - the player may now choose whether or not they purchase the good once they have rolled.
- The Day tracker is now the Time tracker.
- A note has been added in the rules to explain the D6 / 2D6 notation.
Finally, moving the tables from the rules document meant I had quite a bit more space to play with in terms of laying out the rules. Along with correcting a couple of typos, I've also taken the opportunity to spread the rules out a little bit and add in a little more explanation where before I was being a little too succinct in order to keep the rules page count at two.
