Alpha 18.6
Posted March 21, 2024 by kemze
Hello there. I've uploaded 18.6 to fix some bugs and introducing the trust system behind the scenes. As always, you can support us by becoming a funder at our ko-fi. With the new trust system, being a funder or past funder will mark your character as trusted. Read more below.
- The cooking pot now works properly offline, so that you can leave the building while it's cooking.
- If you go online, the cooking pot synchronizes with the server. So, basically, stay offline if you want to cook something by yourself.
- The wardrobe previously reset your body pattern when entering, this has now been fixed.
- Android builds are no longer being worked on or published. Sorry about that. It's basically too much work, and I had to refocus on my main development goal, which is to complete the roadmap I put up earlier this year. I might revisit it in the future.

The server now also has a trust system, which divides players in to Visitors and Trusted members (for the time being, the trust system is turned off). Being a Visitor means that your social involvement in the game community is limited. For example:
- Sending player cards, getting a dorm room, creating sprays/notes/similar, and submitting books are disabled for visitors.
- Everything else, including foodraise, gaining tokens, and getting Merka's rewards is enabled for visitors.
- Visitors chats at a slower pace.
I can disable and enable the trust system at any point. The intention is for it to be a safety precaution ("panic button") in case there's a raid, overload or hacking attempt on the server. It is currently turned off, but if there's a need to enable it in the future, I will do so.
- If you become a funder or have been a funder in the past, and validated the funder status, it will mark your character as trusted and you don't have to worry about being restricted.
- If you aren't a funder, and the trusted mode is on, you can apply to the community using invite codes. Invite codes are generated by active funders, which have a number of unique invite codes generated each month.
