v.0.8.2 release

(0) GENERAL

Hi friends! I'm still a little bit overwhelmed by the reception this little project received, haha. A proper post-mortem will be up sometime later this month, I hope, or sometime in April.

This post is about the maintenance release v.0.8.2, which addresses some of the issues that were reported during the jam. For the most part, this is a grab-bag of minor fixes, plus one big one (where you could eventually softlock yourself by trying hard enough.)

(1) FIXED

• It was possible to repeatedly go through the eavesdropping segment, gaining a skill point each time, and eventually softlocking the save file. This was been fixed back in 0.7.1.
• The background characters at the city gate did not always get y-sorted correctly. For now, it's just impossible to walk behind them, pending a proper fix.
• In two scenes, multiple songs would play at the same time. The previous song now gets paused and unpaused as intended.
• A few minor visual aberrations have been corrected (like sprites sometimes appearing fully visible for a single frame, before then fading in as was intended.)

(2) REMOVED

• The redundant #NoAI disclaimer on start-up has been removed. I stand by the opinion, if not necessarily the wording - but either way, one disclaimer (in the credits) is probably enough.
• The win screen no longer talks about possibly not finishing the game in time for the jam, because, well, it did.

(3) ADDED

• In the very first release, your office (on the world map) didn't have its description set.
• Walk-to points have been added to several hotspots that didn't have them before.
• Charity is now a little clearer about the next step, when you ask her for help with the investigation.
• There's very slightly more flavour text now. There may be more in the future.
• A sound was supposed to play when you put on the magical ring. It now actually does, instead of... not... doing that.
