This week we were tasked with further extending the tourist object scene with terrain and additional objects, all with using built in Unity packages.
The first step was to import the packages that were needed, which included Terrain Tools and ProBuilder. After the long wait of the import process, it was time to begin construction.
Using Terrain tools was incredibly intuitive, with some experimentation and some minor assistance from Brackeys's video for the texturing, I had fitting natural hilltops in no time at all (and a gravel car park too). Making a grass prefab to paint with and a river might be interesting to try sometime later.
Lastly, using ProBuilder I made a simple secondary platform off to the side, and gave it some extra features (as I checked what I needed for the next activity).
