Concerning recent disappearances of the game + GDC

10:16
A downloadable death for Windows, macOS, and Linux

So. I woke up this morning to learn that 10:16 had become unavailable on both itch.io and on Steam. Apparently, this happened a few days ago. I must've missed the e-mail for Steam and received nothing about it here. The game is back up here, and I am still waiting to hear back from Steam.

My first thought is maybe I fucked up. However, I would never explicitly hide the downloads. I checked, and that's what had happened. I didn't even know this was an option. The builds that were just uploaded are slightly different, with a voice line removed because of some editing. Nothing else has really changed.

My first thought is that it might be a copyright issue. The song used in the introduction is a cover, which Zack got permission to do. As long as our project was not commercial, we could use it. This is why 10:16 is a free game. The song meant a lot for Dorian's character and setting the scene of the project. If there is a copyright issue, we are more than happy to write an original song instead and already have small plans about this. However, the trailer on Steam + the Youtube trailer (which is linked on this page) both use the song, and neither have experienced a copyright issue.

I'm currently looking into why the game suddenly disappeared. If you have any problems, please let me know.

In addition, I'll be at GDC this week and have the Dorian keychains. I don't know if anyone will want them, but so what? If you're at GDC, let me know, so we can meet up.
