Patch 0.17 - UI, Map, Character, Stats, Items & Ranked

This patch has focused a lot around the User Experience of the game. Again a lot of playtesting and valuable feedback on our discord has helped us take a step we've been wanted for a long time.

This patch focuses a lot on laying the groundwork for updates to come, to get big new stuff out early and have it tested by you awesome folks.
+ Some new huge features added, for early testing!

In this update, we have focused on the following:

  • UI has been reworked to have a left/right split, to better view and interact with your build and team
  • The Map has been slightly reworked, new events have been added and the frequency of events adjusted
  • Lots of new stuff for Nara, and made both characters interactable and relevant throughout Demo.
  • Adjusted diffculty and Ranked mode added with humble beginnings.
  • Finally added Character stats (Attack, Defense, Health + Skill)
  • Added Item Melding (Absorb items to gain small permanent stat boosts)

We are going to push regular updates (every 2-3 weeks) with major stuff each time.

We are currently looking for more early testers for new features before they go live.

Added the 4th spirit: Fox! Summoning the Fox spirit gives you a Fox Tail (up to 9). For each Fox Tail, all your cards gain increased effectiveness.

Added a bunch of spirits to other cards, reworked many cards completely.

Shield Reworked:
Now each Shield Card gives more Shield - but Shield is reduced by 25% at the start of each of your turns, and does not reset at the end of cycle.

Character stats added!
All characters now have Attack, Defense, Skill & Health.
Increasing these stats, gives small incremental increases to the base value of your cards and effects.

  • Health: Represents your maximum Health. 
  • Attack: Represents your attack damage as a percentage. 
  • Defense: Represents your Shield and Healing as a percentage.
  • Skill: Represents the buffs and debuffs you apply as a percentage.
