It's been awhile! I have an entirely separate mode in progress, but finding less and less time to actually complete it. Instead of putting off a release any longer, I decided to add this update with a few fixes!
Features
- Added MIDI support to activate notes!
- Plug in a MIDI keyboard and it'll probably work, just make sure you adjust the octave in Synulator!
- Added a big hole to the main menu, because a new menu item is supposed to be there but I didn't finish it
Fixes
- Fixed an issue with Sine wave generation; now a more-perfect Sine is calculated
- Turned on incremental garbage collection, to reduce lag spikes
- Fixed some problems with values jumping, for temp changes like pitch bends
- Reduced the frequency of file read/write; values aren't saved as often, but requires less disk work
As a reward for checking out this post, I'll leave a sneak preview of the indefinitely-delayed mode, the Addillator! This harnesses the power of Synulator to create an additive synthesizer, with some cute on-screen keys for playing notes. It could eventually have many sliders to adjust inputs and post-processing effects, if I ever find the time...
Addillator, with on-screen keys, a center display showing GPU calculations, and a flip-up display showing the final wave. The mini keys are a scrollbar, demonstrating the active view below!
