In this self study module we were tasked with modeling and rigging a humanoid model. I've had a small amount of experience when it comes to modelling low poly humanoid models so I decided to give it a go without the need for a tutorial (which probably would have given better results but I wanted to see how I'd go) and created this goofy guy.
I forgot to take a screenshot before I rigged him but here he is. I think it actually looks pretty good for my limited blender knowledge. I couldn't be bothered texturing him so he's just grey for now but I might in the future.
Next we had to rig it which was a bit more complex and I think I had done it before but completely forgot the process so I headed to this great tutorial:
And fully rigged my guy up. Then all I had to do was animate them.
First animation: Idle
Didn't take too long as there isn't much movement in it but I like it
Second animation: Walking
This one was a pain as walking animations are known to be. It took me quite a while and even now it doesn't loop super smooth plus the animation itself is super janky and warps the model a bit (mainly cause his legs are a little too low poly) but it does the job.
And lastly: Waving
I chose it cause it was easy and I was sick of animation by then
And that's about it for study #2
