Version 0.6.240309 Patch Notes - The Cook
Hey hey hey!
I took a break from updating last week to regain some strength. In today's update we have a new crew member - meet THE COOK! The Cook is a versatile crew member that brings a bunch of cool abilities to the table. Also, a major change was made to how promotions work - crew members can now only be promoted in a specific order of abilities, to make the decision a bit more straightforward, but also interesting. To the update!
Crew
- New crew member - The Cook
- Nose-To-Tail: Heal 1 per 200 damage dealt
- Preserver: Gain 1$/s per 50$ (max 3$/s)
- All-Star Chef: Promotion Stars also give 50 XP
- Daily Special: Health Drops increase a random stat when Health is full
- Merchant: Haggler item discount 20%>25%, Silvertongue crew discount 20%>25%
- Crew members can only be promoted in order of promotions
Weapons
- Flare Gun: updated description
- Lightning: base price 27>29, base attack range 3>4. Fixed an issue where First instance of attack would have double the range intended
- Shotgun: attack range 4>3
- Torpedo: base price 35>37
Buildings
- Factory: Changed upgraded XP output to be more exponential
- Factory no longer has a chance to generate item drops
Enemies
- Turtles now lay eggs instead of hatchlings, as nature intended
- Enemies no longer have a chance to drop items
Level
- Decreased starting level size
- Updated building island spawning method
- Stars, Magnets and Health drops can now only be acquired by destroying corals. Enemies and the Factory can no longer generate them
Player
- Getting hit by an enemy now resets fixing timer
UI
- Fixed issue where using mouse would show two selected buttons
- Made some minor changes in various areas of UI
- Added animations to crew promotion screen
Visuals
- Changed signs to match store content
- Moustaches now appear when a crew member is promoted 4 times or when a weapon is upgraded 5 times
- Changed visuals of Health Drop and Magnet to look more organic
