Day 1 - Sprint Start!

Hello Everyone!!!!!

I'm waiting until I have a little bit more substance to post before making my game page public, but I'll be documenting my work each day of the jam hopefully & see how far I get!

It's my first time participating in a game jam at all & i've been wanting to make a VN for a long time, so it's a good opportunity.

--What I'm Starting with--

The rules for pre-production weren't super clear to me, so I stuck with mostly plot outlining for the couple days before march 1st; so here's what I'm starting with

• Half of a plot outline
• Some concept sketches + moodboards
• A solid idea for what I wanna do

--What I accomplished today--

• Downloaded & Installed Renpy; It's my first foray into this software, so wish me luck lmao
• Messed around with tutorial videos + the gui; mainly to remove the title + edit the overlays a bit.
• Worked more on story + plot outlining; Defined some of the main locations in the story
• Sorted through the art + file management prep

Overall pretty happy for a first day; Renpy isn't as hard to get into as I thought it was gonna be; I have a bit of experience with C# & Vs already which was good to have, but even then learning ramp wasn't too bad with the tutorials available.
