Been a hot minute since my last update hasn't it?! :D
So game development for Bubble Frog hasn't really been a thing the last week or two as all efforts have been focused on prep for the Kickstarter so this is more exploring what's in place ready for that, hope you enjoy!
So as part of the Kickstarter I dream of having a 10 second intro animation, for this I have picked an old friend and professional animator James Nutting who's animation work is highly impressive. He's also done the Key Art for the Kickstarter/Game :D
As mentioned James Nutting has provided some amazing Key Art for use in the Kickstarter and Games page on different store fronts. Here's what the Kickstarter version looks like;
Freaking adorable right?! :D This will feature on the Main Menu of the PC Version too and feature...
So the music in Bubble Frog is all by the highly talented Mr.V but doe to other projects and such he was unable to return to remake the original title screen music in a more instrumental way for the main menu of the PC version. Luckily he happily gave me permission to find someone else to cover it and thus I will be working with the amazingly talented Dryden (who also has an awesome Youtube Seires about game development and his own game in the works!) who'll be doing a high quality remake of the 4 track Game Boy piece to fit the feel of the menus for Bubble Frog PC :D
The game will feature a gallery system, one will show behind the scenes stuff about the development of Bubble Frog but the other will be dedicated to the fan art that Bubble Frog has received! If you want to get your art featured in this gallery drop me your fan art! It's not about artistic skill so don't feel intimidated by others pieces, I just want to show the world the amazing fans Bubble Frog has :)
One of the biggest additions that'll come with the PC Version of Bubble Frog is Ink Zone. This will be a set of super tricky levels, I'm thinking between 5 and 10 levels, but that's how Bubble Frog started and now it's 50 levels so who knows!
Well that's now in the hands of Kickstarter. I submitted the pitch today and they ask for 3 working days (and there's a weekend in 2 days) to review a project before approving it. My ideal date would be March 1st, BUT they may not approve till March 4th so we'll have to see. The moment it goes live though I'll be posting the big announcement on here of course as well as on all my socials! :D
Ok so that's about it!
Oh also check out Blood Drive! Keep an eye on the billboard in the background ;)
