Player Progression Prototype

Feature Progression:

Created basic prototype of player progression. Right now levelups are just giving bonus XP per category.  But will most likely intersperse it with other minor upgrades like speeding up tending.


Still trying to figure out what those powerups should be, here are some of the better ideas I currently have for majors:

  • Tending
    • Every six tends will force grow the next plant you tended once
  • Watering
    • If you click with the wrong action, it’ll auto switch to the correct tool
  • Moving
    • Moving will cause all other plants to move
  • Customer Service
    • Auto complete a plant on level up
    • Every 3rd plant delivered will give double XP

I am trying to figure out a good base of trying to strike a balance of:

- Making the powerups cool, but not interrupt the main gameplay

--> i.e. Automation, or having  things that forces the players to repeatedly click in short bursts of time.

NOTE:

- I am planning not to do any long term saving.. at least for the moment, because the progression of this game could change quite a bit!


Maintenance:

- Made this game more friendly to mobile users. If you access this game on itch.io web. It should be playable!
