This is the first update to the game since I finished the first version for a college project.
The aim of this update was to clean up the animations, improve movement and fix collision issues.
Changelog:
Animations
- The base idle pose has been changed to be less hunched over
- Movement animations have had their end-lag removed, this makes movement much less clunky
- Attacks now activate sooner and properly line up with the target
- Ripostes are now much faster but don’t lunge as far
- Various other aesthetic improvements
Gameplay
- Movement values have been changed to sync with animations more accurately, this should make movement feel much less slidy
- Collision has been made much more accurate
- Players can no longer walk into each other to slide closer to the camera
Other
- Sparks are emitted from the blades’ colliding point during a successful parry
