Version 0.2.0
This version is focused around quality of life changes, bug fixes, and balance changes. Note: A change was made to how masteries are stored, making them more future proof, but sadly this has resulted in some existing masteries being downgraded in rarity.
New Features:
- You can now die from old age. You will become 'Ancient' when less than 20 years from the end of your lifespan, and take a 10% stat penalty. When 10 years away you will be 'Dying' and gain a 30% stat penalty. Then, if you exceed your lifespan, you will permanently die.
- The Forge Spirit and Needle Fairy now sell less crafting actions, and Pi Lip has decided to start selling some of his own. His stock will be available in the Body Forging realm and beyond.
- You can now buy crafting pills that buff Control and Intensity, available from the Sect and other locations.
- Enhancement Dust is now available to buy in various stores, for a significant price.
- You can now travel multiple nodes on the world map in one go. The total days taken is equal to the days that it would have taken to travel each node individually, but now it can be done in a single click.
General Changes:
- Backgrounds in the Character Creation screen now have tooltips explaining what each of the bonuses actually do.
- A great many spelling and grammar issues have been fixed.
- Options for vfx quality, volume, and analytics can now be changed on the main menu.
- Added analytics that capture anonymized play style statistics, so that focus can be put on making the weaker parts of the game better.
- Zhiwu Leaf description added.
- Added system to check for new game releases and inform the player on the Main Menu.
Balance changes:
- Enhancement dust extracted from crystals now scales with the realm of the crystal.
- Aei Ma now deals much more damage in spars.
- Base crit chance has been reduced by 5%.
- Recipe requirements in the Body Forging realm are now lower, requirements in the Meridian Opening realm are slightly harder.
- Increased the stat bonuses for breaking through the Middle and Late bottlenecks.
- Equipment:
- Celestial Talon debuff strength and damage increased.
- Skypiercer damage reduced.
- Thousand Year Blade and Hundred Year Blade damage increased.
- Jia Plate defense increased.
- Thousand Year Armour and Hundred Year Armour defense increased.
- Vital Plate defense increased.
- Bifang Flame stats reduced.
- Grade II Flying Sword cost reduced.
- Items
- Qi Pool pills cost increased.
- Qi Pool Pill II toxicity significantly decreased.
- Technique shard cost decreased.
- Spirit core cost increased.
- Treasure now sells for slightly less.
- Spirit Beasts:
- All spirit beasts have been strengthened, to scale better to the expected player power. This mainly affects the Meridian Opening realm.
- Alpha spirit beasts have been further strengthened, and should be more of a challenge.
- Reduced the shard drop difference between Early and Late realm spirit beasts. They now drop more in the Early realm, and less in the Late realm.
- Techniques:
- Razor Blossom damage slightly increased.
- Chilling Radiance damage slightly increased.
- Dawning Rage damage slightly increased.
- Lunar Rebuke damage slightly increased.
- Moon Strike damage slightly increased.
- Searing Lance damage slightly increased.
- Sun Strike damage slightly increased.
- Forge Dancing Sword damage slightly increased.
- Arterial Injection damage slightly decreased.
- Blood bolt damage slightly decreased.
- Consume Corruption healing slightly decreased.
- Scarlet Spear damage slightly decreased.
- Forked Bolt damage slightly decreased.
- Gale Blast damage slightly decreased.
- Crashing Mountain damage slightly decreased.
- Meteor Kick damage slightly decreased.
- Forge Dancing Axe damage slightly decreased.
- Forge Dancing Dagger damage slightly decreased.
- Forge Unstable Automatic damage slightly decreased.
- Ignite Furnace self damage slightly increased.
- Masteries:
- 10% Power increase mastery now significantly stronger.
- 10% Barrier increase mastery now significantly stronger.
- Heal mastery healing decreased.
- Barrier mastery barrier decreased.
- Damage mastery damage decreased.
- Armoured mastery is now significantly stronger.
- Vulnerable mastery is now significantly stronger.
Bug Fixes:
- Icons for masteries created in v0.1.0 should now display.
- Icons for mine chambers explored in v0.1.0 should now display.
- Fix bug with rendering of Crafting Pills on the consume pill button during crafting.
