Hey y'all, releasing a minor addendum to Volume One (now v3.1.1 of Volume One) and a minor expansion release that builds on some content from Volume One.
The Addendum (or Appendix), added to the end of v3.1.1 of Volume One downloadable now from the main page and included alongside this devlog as a screenshot, briefly describes how the original Troika! Initiative Token Pile system could be adapted to work in Vaream. In my original release, I'd included my own ruleset for deciding initiative, mostly because I don't personally run the Token Pile system often, but I wanted to include this update for those who prefer the system that the good folks at Melsonia put together. It's a highly original and engaging system, which I enjoyed tinkering with to add interactions between the token pile's random draws and the dangerous unpredictability of magic in Vaream.
The Expansion is on the page as the Journeys Weird and Winding Expanded Bestiary and is, as it sounds, an expanded bestiary. It includes all the existing material on the Strangers, Beasts and Colossal Beasts that Players might encounter during their travels. What's been expanded on in this case are the stat blocks for the Encounters. I've gone back and added:
Really excited to get these updates to y'all and even more excited about what's coming down the pipeline. If all goes well, the next volume of Journeys Weird and Winding should release by the end of this month. It may not be as designed, and may truly just be a source text document, but it will be out there! So make sure to follow this page or me for updates on when it releases.
As always, thank you to everyone who reads this, looks at the game and maybe even downloads it.
