Inscryption Multiplayer [Fangame]

v0.3.9 is out!

After 9 years in development, hopefully it was worth the wait.

New Cards:

  • Voodoo Doll
    • Custom card by ener (im_ener on discord)
    • 0/1
    • Acupuncture
    • Pay 3 bones: Choose a creature to gain the Stitched sigil, and give this card armor

New Features:

  • New Magpie search menu
    • Developed and contributed by Mouthless Stoat (mouthless_stoat on discord)
    • First fully community-implemented feature! YOOOO
    • Can be toggled in experimental options
  • Custom sigil support!
    • This is a big one (also probably a bug one)
    • Allows players to write custom sigil effects in the Modular Sigil Format
    • See https://github.com/107zxz/inscr-onln/tree/main/scripts/classes/sigils for examples
    • For security reasons, custom sigils can only be auto-downloaded from https://github.com/107zxz/inscr-onln-scripts. However, any custom script can be used if it is manually inserted into the game’s ‘scripts’ folder (try ‘Open Game Directory’ on the title screen)
      • This can be used for local sigil development / testing, but I recommend cloning a copy of the game’s source code and developing it there. Use the scripts/classes/sigils folder to store modular sigils during development

Bug Fixes:

  • Credits for finding and testing these go to Mr. Egg! (senor.huevo on discord)
  • Fixed magpie menu staying open when performing a rematch
  • Fixed a variety of desyncs relating to multiple latchers perishing at once
  • Fixed a variety of softlocks relating to latchers being interrupted during their attack animation (NOT YET OOPS!)
  • Fixed a variety of issues (a variety of times) relating to double, bifurcated and trifurcated strikes being interrupted midway through by the attacker dying
  • Removed the ability to fan hammer plasma jimmy when one energy remains
  • Fixed latchers attempting to latch the moon
  • Raccoons no longer magically create bones. Opponents can no longer gain bones while a card with Scavenger is on the field
  • The deck now correctly disappears when exhausted via Dead Hand
  • Sentries pushed by Hefty now trigger again at the end of their movement
  • It is now impossible to go into ‘energy debt’. Oh the economy!
  • Energy Conduit’s vanilla effect once again works as intended
  • Variable Power Nerf now correctly reduces the direct attack damage of cards with variable attack to 1
  • Plasma jimmy has been granted the ability to look down (and hit waterborne cards). Only affects the Energy Sniper sigil
  • Forfeiting right before you lose no longer gives the opponent two wins at once.
  • Latchers no longer heal / restore the attack score of cards they latch.
  • The ‘shed’ card feature now correctly causes cards to shed cards as they move
  • Tentacles no longer self-heal when transforming
  • Starvation now correctly resets on rematch, and won’t remember Mighty Leap between matches
  • Sniper now strikes the correct lane when attacking directly
