Update v0.10.3 released

HereSphere VR Video Player (Quest 2)
A downloadable VR video player for Android

HereSphere update v0.10.3 for Meta Quest headsets is now available. This update adds an audio time offset setting and the ability to request stream links from an external link server.

Audio Time Offset:

  • The audio time offset is used to adjust the synchronization of the audio and video, which can be useful when you're using a bluetooth audio device or if the audio and video is out of sync.
  • To adjust the audio time offset for every video (in the case of fixing bluetooth audio latency), go to the user settings, and change the "Time Offset" setting under the Audio group. The time offset is in seconds.
  • To adjust the audio time offset for an individual video (in the case of bad audio and video sync for that video), go to the advanced video settings, and change the "Time Offset" setting under the Audio group. The time offset is in seconds.

Link Server:

  • The link server receives the current website URL and sends back a video link for the player to stream. This is useful if the website doesn't have a way to stream from a download link.
  • To use the link server, click on the cogwheel icon in the upper left corner of the web browser to open up the web browser settings. Type in the URL of the link server, then when you're on the website with the video you want to stream, press the HereSphere Web API button to the left of the web browser's URL input box. If the current website isn't using the HereSphere Web API, the player will fallback to the link server. An implementation of a link server can be found here: https://github.com/Zetaphor/heresphere-server/releases.
