#creature collection #combat #GM Guide
I am working on breaking the key ideas of the system into short easy-to-remember lists.
In the case of how to design a Hostile Environment Scene:
If you have all three elements (which I explain in the Galactic Master’s Guide) you are on your way to a good scene.
An optional sub-system for creature-on-creature battles has been added.
Creatures can have a Ferocity value that is added to tame rolls, making them harder to tame. Prior to a tame attempt, you can have a pet do battle to lower the opposing creature’s ferocity.
This does trigger a subsystem, which is very simple once you understand it. But it is a subsystem. Hostile Sun, by default, prefers creatures to be handled narratively and with resources, not through combat as such. But if you are familiar wit a certain creature-collecting game, certain mechanics should feel familiar.
A section of Alchemy lore is present in the book now. Have included the Alchemy Hazard Placards.
