This update adds a new status effect system. Only a couple of status effects are available right now, but more will be added as development progresses. This update also includes some fixes and some other smaller features. Full changelog below:
- Added a new status effect system. The following status effects have been added for now:
- Poison. Inflicts damage over time.
- Blindness. Makes combat participants less likely to hit their targets.
- Fear. Adds a chance that the affected combat participant will skip their turn.
- Added filtering options to the party inventory.
- Replaced the party inventory auto sort button with a new button below the inventory filtering buttons.
- Consumable items will now be placed last when auto sorting the party inventory.
- Added a bunch of new items.
- All party members are now at least clothed in pants, boots and body armor.
- The dragon boar enemy now has a chance to apply poison on attack. The viscious lizard enemy has a larger chance to apply a stronger poison effect.
- Added bouncing cubes to the testing grounds that will apply status effects to the entire party when clicked.
- Party members will now fully recover their health/stamina/mana when leveling up.
- When party members die the game log will now show this. This previously only applied to enemies.
- A lot of messages that would be displayed in the combat log will now be displayed in the general log instead when combat is not active.
- Fixed faulty behavior when hotswapping items in the inventory.
- Fixed issue that caused the close combat skill as well as melee weapon skills to not gain experience in combat.
- Maybe fixed bug that caused the game to softlock when performing a ranged attack in rare cases.
