For this version I wanted to focus on getting the town fleshed out more. The first version was for a game jam so it was all about one quest involving you going to a bridge to fight the black knight. For version 2 I closed off the open world aspect and polished the town up so when the gate reopened (in a later version) the player won’t be overwhelmed. Doing just a town allowed me to add more polish and create smaller locations for future stories. I also borrowed a skill system from one of my other games. So a lot of the original code had to be gutted and changed to match my improved coding style. This will ultimately help me when I switch between projects.
For those that have played the game there are a few incomplete features that I did not have time to add on time but will get back to in a future version.
Answer: most jobs skills are planned out, I just haven't done the visual effect/ sound effect for the combat actions. I am thinking about limiting each job to one weapon, this will make their fighting style unique.
Open world will return hopefully by the next build.
I plan to add more party members in the future but I want to flesh out Gundilem with his intro quest before moving onto other party members. Quest boards Next build I will make sure the quest board is good to go and that you can improve your rank within the guild.
