Hello, dear supporters! It's time for my latest update.
This year has started off pretty well for me. I passed an important test in real life, which could lead to a promotion. This means faster upgrades to my hardware and software, potentially speeding up my work.
My new graphics card, the NVIDIA RTX 4090, is just incredible. My old one, RTX 3090, often bottlenecked my workflow, leaving me with a three-day render queue. With the new card, I no longer have renders waiting when I get back from work.
But there's been one thing slowing me down: DAZ Scripts. Now that I've learned a bit more, I realize how clumsy and time-consuming my workflow has been. I can significantly improve it by writing and implementing scripts. Plus, I discovered how to access undocumented functions in DAZ Scripts. It was mind-blowing to see how much I could enhance my workflow. I often had to stop myself from scripting and return to scene creation.
For instance, imagine you often perform a routine operation that takes 20 seconds. Then, you write a script that does it in two seconds and eliminates the human factor errors. Great, right? The catch is it takes five hours to write that script and another hour to test it. That's how I been working these past weeks.
Nevertheless, I've accomplished quite a bit. I focused solely on The Better Deal and created four events. I won't spoil too much – just have a look at some renders.
Remember Walshamp's fan fiction, Lisa's Skiing Holiday? He wrote another one! This time, it's a spin-off with the pizza girl as the main character. I haven't finished reading it yet, but the setting is intriguing. Hope you enjoy it!
That's all for now. I think my scripting mania is calming down, so I should be more organized next week. Plus, the scripts I've written should already double my productivity. I plan to finish another event for The Better Deal (maybe even today) and then switch to Beauty and the Thug, likely working on it until the next release.
