I wanna say thx for making 2023 a really cool year. big ups 2 every1 who has played / liked / followed / h8d Small Town Emo since the demo dropped. I know its super small baby potatoes but i'm stoked the game has over 3000 downloads and nearly 20,000 plays!! definitely more successful than my Myspace page (only ever had like 150 friends RIP) 

Getting to be a part of awesome events like Pride at Play, Queer Games Bundle, SXSW Sydney, NZGDC and Gayming Live was also incredible, and I rlly appreci8 all the folks who gave us a platform!!

Now onto the other stuff:

Wanted to give a quick update regarding the ""full"" version of Small Town Emo since we've had a bit of a case of the dreaded ~sHiFtinG LaUnCh WinDoW~. without getting into too much specifics the new content has all been written and preliminary art has been made for every remaining scene. theres some quality control needed + some new music, new memes and cutscene redraws in the works.

 here's a kind of FAQ that has all the juicy gossip:

• When is Small Town Emo gonna be done? Looking at late April 2024

• How long is the full version? The current demo is about 1/2 of the game. So the full version is probably 2.5 hours. hopefully the SpeedRunners can trim that down.

• How much will it cost? Ideally less than $10 USD for digital. any kind of physical release is TBD (at least 1 million dollars).

• Why does it take SO LONMG / what r u doin? am working on another game called ShelfLife: Art School Detective that cuts into Small Town Emo time. wish I had more hands and eyes and brains but i dont.
