Hello everyone! Welcome to Endurance v0.1.0 (and v0.1.1... and v0.1.2).
The biggest part of this update is the new collectables: the traps. Unlike power-ups, traps are automatically used when collected and negatively affect the player. Only one trap can be active at one time, but a power-up and a trap can be active at once.
There are three traps currently in the game.
The guide menu has essentially been finished with the addition of the collectables guide. Check it out to learn more about each power-up and trap.
In version 0.1.1, the collectables guide was updated to match the changed behavior of the blindness trap (previously the disguise trap that would make the player look like an enemy). In version 0.1.2, a bug was fixed where traps spawned in before a trap was collected could still be touched, breaking the rule of one trap active at a time. This has been fixed so that collecting a trap clears all collectables from the game and prevents any more from spawning until the trap's effects end.
With this release, the basic game mechanics of Endurance are complete! This is why version numbers have started to increment in the second column (version n.1.n as opposed to version n.n.1). However, the game is far from complete. There are still many features and additions I want to make to Endurance, so keep an eye out for updates.
Below is a list/loose roadmap of polishes/tweaks I plan on changing with Endurance.
Below is a list of new features I plan and adding to Endurance.
I could keep going with all of the things I want to add to this game, but I should probably wrap this up here. Please give this first "full" release of Endurance a shot and tell me what you think in the comments of the game or this post. Thank you so much for reading, and have a wonderful day!
