Hey guys! I'm excited to announce another huge update! There's several new levels, enemies, and graphics to discuss. Firstly, there's a whole new tutorial accessible from the main menu and highly recommended for new players, especially those who might be unfamiliar with traditional platforming controls.
Speaking of new levels, its finally time to fully introduce Holy von Pony! She now has her own level where she chases the player relentlessly while they navigate a new platforming layout.
In addition, there's another new style of level in the form of a dangerous maze:
In this maze, you'll find these cheeky fellows, hanging out and shooting fireballs:
There's been a few graphical improvements, including new parallax particle effects!
These effects required a new camera system to allow for some things to be represented orthographically and others to be in perspective. The new system also allows for a lot more camera control, so expect more cinematic-type scenes coming soon!
For the next update, I'd really like to get some sound effects, especially for footsteps, dashing and enemies. I'd also like to add some kind of pause menu so players can return to the main menu, etc.
Now that most of the core systems are in place, it's fairly easy to add more levels so I'll definitely be adding more soon, the only time-consuming bit is creating more art.
