Welcome to Takito's Adventure!
The idea is to create a 3D game-style Crash Bandicoot.
I know how annoying that sounds, but relax; it will be just a protorype level since I have one month to develop it.
During the first week, I searched for some of my assets in the Unity Store. Because the theme of the game will be medieval, I will use an asset related to a castle with a small village that fits perfectly for the game. Also, the idea is to focus on the game functionality, so I will download and use elements to save time and make the game look pretty.
Once I got the elements that I needed, I started creating the player movement and jumping logic.
I separate the player input, jumping, and moving to make it easier to apply updates and keep the best organization I can. Once the player's jumping and moving were done, I started adding animations to make the player (Takito) look like a real character in the game. Again, I use existing animations to save, and, to be honest, I'm not very skilled at this.
Additionally, I created a basic health system for the player and built a little bit of the scene using the assets that I previously downloaded.
