THE EXTENDED VERSION OF INTERTWINE IS OUT NOW!!
I CAN FINALLY TALK ABOUT IT!!! This project has been a while in the making ~in secret~ It took a while for me to gain the nerve to return to the world of Intertwine. When I finished the project for Otome Jam 2023, I felt like it was complete. Even if I crunched development into two months, and there were surely things I could add to it/tinker with to make it even better, I was proud of myself for what the end project looked like. Because of this, I had no intention of returning to Intertwine for the longest time, especially seeing the reception for it and knowing people liked it as much as I did.
Flashback to a couple months ago---around October/November, when I found myself thinking about Intertwine again. Nothing too huge, but small things that I could add to make it more immersive and make the story feel a Little More Complete. I told myself there was no need to add to the game. It was already fine as is, and returning to the game felt like I was even trampling on what I was able to accomplish with the 2-month build!
And yet...
There were scenes I was daydreaming about, and so to get them out of my head, I wrote them down. As I did, I found myself wanting more and more to make an extended version of the game. Nothing too huge, just a little bit more content as a thank you for the reception Intertwine received.
I kept this as a secret personal project for a while before reaching out to some of the past team members to see if they were interested in adding to the world. Max said he'd love to voice Van again, and FaeField Productions said there were a couple of tracks they thought they could add. Some other friends gave me the encouragement I needed to officially start the extended version, and that was that.
So here we are with a slightly longer story, filled with and inspired by some memories I've gotten through my interactions with supporters. And I present you all with
I was really nervous releasing this (in usual Crescence fashion). I wasn't sure if it was worth releasing or if anyone would even get excited about it/like it. For those of you who enjoyed the original Intertwine, I hope you enjoy the new content. For the people who helped me get this extended version off the ground, thank you for giving me the moral support and reassurance I needed.
Happy Gaming, everyone, and thank you again for all the Intertwine love <3
