Since the release of Alpha 1, I've been keen to address some of the worst shortfalls in player experience and gameplay that failed to make the Christmas deadline. Alpha 2 includes the following changes:
Based on feedback that a Mac version would be appreciated, I'm happy to announce that I've got that working too. This is thanks entirely to the excellent cross-platform support within Godot. As I don't have an Apple developer account the game is not signed, which means there are a couple of hoops to jump through when you first download. However, it's really not that hard and I'll update the installation instructions to include the necessary steps.
In other platform support news, one of our intrepid testers shared news — and pictures! — on Discord about how they got Alpha 1 running on their Steam Deck! I really didn't expect this but I'm very thankful to them for testing it out given I don't have this device.
Alpha 3? I expect this to take a little longer as there's some code tidying up required after the rush to get Alpha 2 out quickly. Continue to keep an eye on the main game page to see what I'm planning.
