Happy New Year !


It has been an exciting year for the team to work on Windjammers !
I'd like to thanks all individuals who gave time and shared their knowledge to help moving forward:
My fellow team members and friends Pyron, Lunoka, and Luke444.
Stéphane Dallongeville for its incredible dev kit !
All the SGDK community members who helped me at some point (Jungrock, Pigsy retro, HPman, Fabio, Ronan, Emmanuel, and probably many more i may have forgoten).

As i'm hopeful that we can release the game this year, here is what's in front of us:
1- Finish the integration of the 2 new exclusive megadrive players
2- Add scoring
3- End to end game logic, with integration of the bonus level
4- Rebalance player's capacities
5- Enhance the 1 player mode AI
6- Create a new bonus level
7- Debug, debug, debug, and...debug


And finaly let me share some personal thoughts.
The genesis of Windjammers for MD came as i was learning C language and SGDK. I never imagined it would become a full game when i started playing with a couple of riped assets to become familiar with the dev kit. I've been lucky enough to get help from great guies to help me through this journey, and i hope nobody will be disapointed by the final result.

Will this version be better than the Neogeo one ? NO, even though there will be more content, the final gameplay will be slightly different, and some players may not like it.
Will there be a physical release ? MAYBE.
Will there be a free rom of the full game ? YES, of the full game.
Will there be bugs ? I HOPE NOT TOO MANY.
Will the code be released ? NO.
Is there a next project after Windjammers ? YES, and it won't be a port !
