Just squashing a few bugs to reduce some crashes, along with a slight re-write of a small Mia moment.
It has come to my attention that a number of people are trying to load old saves from v0.16, and as a result are experiencing crashes. If I wasn't clear enough in the release notes, saves from v0.16 are not compatible with v0.17. There were a large number of backend changes made in v0.16.5 to implement progress tracking (which enables the skip function), so saves from older versions will not have the necessary flags set to function properly.
A few more notes on the Skip Function. If you have not played through the game on v0.16.5, you will not be able to utilize the skip function properly. For the Skip Function to work correctly, you must play through the game normally for progress to be tracked. Furthermore, you must play through the game normally to have access to game state affecting story choices when using the skip function. The skip function will not list a game state affecting option if you have not chosen that option during a playthrough. Old saves will not retroactively enable choices.
I had a few complaints about Mia's aggressive kiss after her lab growth scene not vibing correctly for those who were playing a Sophia focused playthrough. I re-wrote this interaction to try and help the vibe fit better in other routes. It is very easy to have both Mia and Sophia at high relationship levels in each others' routes to get the intimate moments from the both of them, so this is not an unexpected scenario. I just misjudged the tone of Mia's post-growth interaction. I won't be touching the Elena/Jessica side, as those post-growth interactions should still be fitting for the two of them, even in each others' routes.
