Hi!
It has been awhile since I have updated this page... but here is the updated version of Solar Ember Rush.
These are the changes:
I added a tutorial level, teaching the player how to flip the ship ('F') and switch weapons from blaster to laser with 'E'.
I also added a glow effect using Godot's environment settings.
There are now four stages, and the last stage features a more interesting boss that has phases and interludes.
I added a Game Over screen and also and End screen.
Upcoming features:
I am working on making a rapid shot when you flip the ship. Still in its prototype stage, but it will allow for enemies to come from left, top and right, making for more interesting combat. How it works, is that when you flip the ship, it will spray bullets in a arc, thus killing enemies from above. This will make upcoming levels more interesting!
