So we're finally here. What started as a little tech demo for my bigger project Sequestered quickly blew into a full half-hour horror experience based on a prototype I've been sitting on since 2016. A majority of time on this project was spent building the tech art stack, and I hope that effort shows. I've learned a lot of lessons, a lot of cinematic techniques, and more than I ever thought I'd learn about shaders.
What's next for White Owl?
I'm going to take a nice long break, then I'll return to this later, take in feedback, and get an even further polished version with additional features such as controller support and key rebinding, then release a definitive version on here and Steam for a small price (though you can consider this to be a content complete finished game). For now, I think I'm tired of looking at harsh contrasts for at least 6 months.
