Update 11 - New Movement

Match Tree
A browser game made in HTML5

This update comes to you while I'm not only virtually surrounded by flowers but literally as I spend some time on Madeira. A very beautiful island. And a very welcome calm time after the busy year. I'm not the biggest fan of winter so the climate here is very lovley and I enjoy it a lot.

But as I took my notebook, I have the opportunity to keep tinkering with our small game. I used the time to rewrite the whole movement of the characters. At first, it might not look very different but instead randomly choosing a cell that is adjacent to a resource of thiers, each cell has now a weight for each resource type that gets updated with every move. Currently a bit too often, but before I optimize that, I want to know if this makes a difference.
you can see the weights when you press "D" for debug. Currently it sorts them by value and picks the highest one.

I didn't dare to change the maps, as I also need to play more to see what this chane really means.

I also added a new "tutorial" map that shows the very fabric of the mechanic as I have seen some people struggeling who never saw a match 3 game. As there is no text and no progress and no hand holding, this little start map should help. It also starts by default now. I hope people find the buttons to choose maps, otherwise its a very dull experience.

Last change is another small experiment of an idea. What if the pixie, the witch and the gnome are friends embarking (hahaha!) on a journey to re-green earth. So for now the tiles get greener the higher chain of the resource is placed. They dont go back so the grass gets always greener in this game. I even thought, it could be an interesting new goal type: Make X tiles green.

Let us know what you think.
