A bunch of unrelated fixes and tweaks :
-cleaned up the level visuals after the first boss. They don't have their final look yet but at least they look decent and playable.
-some small performance improvements.
-fixed yet more solid collision bugs I discovered.
-updated screen transitions so they play both when entering and leaving a layout.
-added animated fish schools in the background.
