With Neila's help, we finally got raycasting working exactly the way we intended! We also added a de-aggro, where after escaping their sight, the enemy will walk to your last seen position and wait 5 seconds before returning to their idling. It's not perfect, you can sometimes escape their sight with walls, but they'll go straight through boxes. I'm super happy we were able to implement this over just a plain range though!
