Hello,
So... 0.3 was pretty buggy :o). That was honestly quite a surprise for me. I was pretty confident that the build was solid. I play the game a lot to test everything I add. I don't upload a new build until every major bugs I encountered are fixed. But once the public version was released and thousands of people played the game, I discovered that my coding was indeed quite flawed. I'll try to do better next time; that's all I can say :).
Other than that, the update has been pretty well received, and I received a staggering amount of support on release. I can't thank you guys enough.
For 0.4 the major things I want to get done are:
While developing the Drunk Defeat scene, it was quite obvious that the game is in serious need of some sound to compensate the limitations of still renders. I'll add ambiance sound, music, and SFX for the various interactions.
The new female character was well received, so I'll continue to add new scenes with her. If you want to give your opinion on her, there is a public poll on the Discord server.
The current corruption progression system is inspired by Karryn's prison, where you reach different "goals" and receive a hidden reward in the form of stats. The stats you gain range from augmentation to the maximum of a desire value or an increase in the sensitivity of a specific body part. Now that my vision for the game is clearer, I don't feel that this system makes sense with the way Corruption Town is going to work in the future. I want a slightly different system where the progression is more obvious and can be more controlled on my end, so I can achieve the pacing I'm looking for, while still allowing players to have some agency in the way they corrupt Agnes.
A lot of people ask for customization options, like different costumes or hairstyles, pubic hair, breast size... While some of these are feasible, large character modifications like costumes or body modifications are not possible. That would require me to create a crazy amount of variation for each CG, and that's not going to happen. I've pondered for a while about this subject, and this is the decision I've come to. That doesn't mean that Agnes is going to wear the same cloth for the whole game, each job or service she will provide inside the Limping Duck will be accompanied by a new uniform.
I usually do a poll for each update, but I honestly have no idea what I could make you guys choose for the next update. If I don't come up with something for this update, I'll make it double in the next one ;)
0.4 should release early February at worst.
