#hack&slash #devlog #testing
This is the second devlog entry.
That’s some impressive dedication.
Anyways, since the last update around a week ago, I have fixed one movement bug. The version on the itch.io page still has this bug, but it should be fixed the next time I update the game.
That’s it. Haven’t done much more of actual development otherwise.
Despite this, there is much news to dissect. So much in fact, that I will save the tastiest piece of news for a different time.
First piece of news is that Point & Sin now has a Facebook page. Go and like it. Share with your friends. Sacrifice a goat.
Yesterday I went to a local event where some people tested the game. Sadly, I gave them an old version accidentally, so most of the bug-related feedback was about issues that have already been fixed. But it was not in vain, as I met some pretty girls and noted some possible balance improvements, which should be rather easy to implement.
If you are a developer, then the last piece of news for today may be somewhat interesting. Since I published the last devlog on itch.io, the views and downloads for Point & Sin increased for several days.
Granted, the increase was tiny (62 views and 13 downloads on the best day), but it was quite significant if compared to the average of 0 views and 0 downloads per day. This increase was also bigger than the influx of people during Ludum Dare review period (Point & Sin is a Ludum Dare game jam submission). Putting a gif in the devlog may have helped too.
The more you know.
Keep on sinning,
Sīmanis
