WDUs are back, Commander. Now that we are just getting started with Cosmicrafts Open Beta, we want to bring back the essence of which you liked the most when we first ventured into Web3 and to the public realms.

WDUs encapsulate the spirit of community, transparency, and shared discovery that fuels our cosmic journey.

The Open Beta Odyssey:

Launching the Open Beta is a significant milestone, marking a new chapter in our exploration of the gaming cosmos. It’s a realm filled with endless possibilities, new challenges, and the promise of epic battles amidst the stars.

The essence of beta releases lies in learning, refining, and evolving.

Our journey through the past closed beta was an enlightening one, revealing the vast landscape of opportunities that still lie ahead in our quest to craft the finest real-time strategy game.

This time we bring you our first approach to more advanced in-game metrics and statistics, of course taking care of the privacy of our users, as this is Web3 and we all care about that, right?

Game Statistics Overview

Introduction:

This document showcase the type of data and statistics we will be generating and processing. Our aim is to provide players with a clear understanding of the game’s statistical framework which will encompass character, faction, and gameplay data among other metrics.

Base Statistics Key:

They represent the initial layer of data collection, capturing the core dynamics and raw data from your gameplay, forming the crucial input for deriving meaningful insights to achieve a balanced gaming experience.

  • FAC = Faction
  • GMO = Game Mode
  • MP = Multiplayer
  • SP = Single Player
  • MP-SKI = Multiplayer Skirmish
  • SP-SKI= Single Player Skirmish
  • SP-SUR = Single Player Survival
  • SP-INV = Single Player Invasion
  • FG = Finished Game
  • VIC = Victory
  • DEF = Defeat
  • TIE = Draw (Time ended with similar points)
  • DIS = Disconnection (Disconnect or Client Closed)
  • TP = Time Played
  • EG = Energy Generated
  • EU = Energy Used
  • EW = Energy Wasted (Not generated due to max capacity)
  • USE = Units Sent (utilized)
  • ULO = Units Lost (own)
  • UDE = Units Destroyed (enemy)
  • DD = Damage Dealt
  • DR = Damage Received
  • DC = Critical Damage Dealt
  • DE = Damage Evaded

Intermediate Statistics:

Each completed game will be a part of our growing database of gameplay statistics. This data, though anonymized to uphold privacy, will be a treasure trove of insights that will fuel future enhancements.

Here’s what we’re tracking:

  • Faction Choice: Understanding faction preferences helps us in balancing gameplay and enriching the lore of Cosmicrafts.
  • Character Utilization: Tracking character choices provides insights into character balance and popularity.
  • Game Mode Engagement: Recording the game modes you delve into helps in tailoring them to provide a thrilling gaming experience

TFG = Total Finished Games = FG1 + FG2 + FG3…
TVIC = Total Victories = VIC1 + VIC2…

$CXP Token Rewards

The reward structure in Cosmicrafts is tailored to provide higher rewards for PvP engagements as compared to PvE.

This is designed to encourage players to dive into the competitive realm, engage with the community, and enhance their gaming skills.

If Victory: (Damage Dealt + Damage Received) * 2
If Defeat: (Damage Dealt + Damage Received) * 0.5
If Draw: (Damage Dealt + Damage Received) * 1
If Disconnection: (Damage Dealt + Damage Received) * 0
If Single Player: CXP * 0.25
If Multiplayer: CXP * 2

Key Considerations

Exploit Mitigation: PvE modes can sometimes be susceptible to exploits, where players might discover and take advantage of bot glitches or bugs to gain undue rewards. Without the watchful eyes of other players, these exploits may go unreported, creating an unfair advantage.
