Moonlight Castle - 2.0.0!

Moonlight Castle
A downloadable MCastle for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android

IT'S FINALLY HERE!
(... there's a lot to unpack. You're free to jump straight into the game or listen to me for a second, I have a few words for you all.)

Thank you so much for being so patient with us. It took us a lot of work, literally. It's been... let me check for you. Late April was the last time we updated the game. That's 7 months. I'm sorry about that. We all agreed to not continue the story without assets so that's what we did, we went on a Hiatus, but we were always working. We never stopped and now I hope this huge update will repay that kindness you showed us.

The Prologue
This update, Night 3, is what we consider the end of the prologue that officially marks the beginning of the game.
Four routes have been updated (Ryan, Blake, Patrice, Dylan)
All of them are long, 4 times the usual size -> 25k to 30k words.

Art & Music
The sprites have been fully reworked.
We say goodbye to those Password-esque style and take the first step into the light, becoming adults, becoming our own unique selves, leaving the nest once and for all. We did, however, left the old sprites in the download section because we cherish the past and, in the future, we might look back on them, see how far we've come in our journey. Unfortunately we will not update the game with old sprites, meaning that version of the game will forever be stuck on D3.

The music was also changed. Old royalty songs leave and give up their place to original music.
Main Menu, Ryan's car, Classroom, Greenhouse, Infirmary, Roads -> New songs will now play.
The entire main cast has their own theme song now. You will hear it play during their introduction across D1 and D2.
I know what you're thinking. You'd like to listen to these songs without digging. It's on our to do list. We know.
There's more music ready to be listened so you better pay attention while playing

UI Improvements (Android)
We took your feedback to heart and did exactly what you needed the most.
The buttons are now bigger -> no more frustration missing the back button.
Textbox is also bigger to avoid breaking the whole interface
New "Hide" button to aid mobile enjoyers.

General changes
Day 1 is animated -> This only makes sense if you play the game.
Generic D3 editing -> Slowly polishing the script, fixing typos and mistakes we find or receive.
Liam's D3 cafeteria speech reworked -> It drops more hints, keeps being vague, but it's less chaotic.
Blake's D3 adjustments -> This day was extremely messy. We properly rephrased key moments to make them easier to understand.
Mark sprites from Dylan's D3 have been temporarily disabled -> They will return when he also gets reworked.

Known Issues
Using old save files could cause errors -> Don't forget we have option to quickly reach new content
Sprites weirdly moving in place -> Coders will get that sorted in a future update
Blake smooching Ryan -> Is it really an issue? Let him kiss the bear.
Night 3 typos -> They will be fixed in a secondary update. They're minor mistakes.

Next update
We will return to our "one route" update starting January.
I'll take a break from working so hard and get some rest.
I have already decided that it will be Russell's Night 3 because of missing assets I require for Clyde's route.

Support & Patreon
Did you like the update? If you enjoyed it and want this game to stay alive, please, please help spread the word, let people know about this game. We need your support. We have been working for a long time, earning almost to nothing -> All the money goes into getting the assets and it's not enough. I pay for it. What we earn doesn't cover it. Help us break even, please...

And if that isn't possible because money is tight for everyone -> share the game around, GIVE US 5 STARS ON ITCH!
